Key responsibilities:  

  • Bookkeeping on Xero
  • Reconciling all bank accounts
  • Reviewing and reconciling all ledger accounts including the control accounts
  • Filing compliance returns (such as VAT returns)
  • Carrying out month end and year end processing
  • Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts
  • Raising sales invoices, recording customer receipts and reconciling all customer accounts
  • Preparing staff commissions and bonuses
  • Assisting in the preparation of year end statutory accounts
  • Assisting the head of finance in various accounting activities for the group

Qualification and Experience required:

  • Part qualification in a professional accounting body such as ACCA or CIMA
  • Over 3 years experience of working in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Proficient in account software such as Xero and Sage
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Energy Bureau Team. The ideal candidate will have industry knowledge with previous experience of I&C, Multi-site and Public Sector utilities; ideally having knowledge of flexible products and their functionality, although this is not a necessity. The role will involve the management of high volumes of data within both spreadsheets and in-house databases.

Key responsibilities:  

  • Obtain and track receipt of energy invoices on a monthly basis
  • Input both group and singular invoices into the energy database
  • Develop an understanding of billing elements
  • Analyse and assess the accuracy of energy charges
  • Issue weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Liaise with suppliers to raise and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
  • Identify process improvements that could develop and drive the business
  • Communicate ongoing queries internally to the relevant parties
  • Adhere to internal processes to ensure guidelines are met
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge skills

We are looking for a Recruitment Assistant to work within our Human Resources team to take responsibility for recruitment activity and support the wider team in ad-hoc admin tasks.
You will focus on advertising roles, screening CVs, setting up interviews and communicating with applicants. You will need to be able to prioritise and multi task as you switch focus between different roles.

  • Placing external job adverts, liaising with recruitment agencies, head hunting and talent spotting through CV databases

As a graduate trainee, you’ll benefit from being handed responsibility from the outset, an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a broad understanding of your chosen profession, as well as receiving support in building key skills.

All graduates will start off in the same role as an Energy Auditor in our Energy Bureau team, learning about the business and the industry and receiving training and support. You will then be offered a choice of different routes to follow in the business depending on your interests, skillset, and the business needs. Pathways include Account Management and Client Relations, Sustainability, Energy Procurement and Analysis.

The scheme is ideal for recent graduates looking for their first professional role. We welcome applications from any discipline. Any additional experience, gained for example from working with people in a customer setting, leading a project, undertaking office administration, working with other organisations or groups, will be advantageous.

We are looking for people with an enthusiastic and positive approach and with an ability to work with minimal supervision.
