Customer Challenge
- The university needed all their sites managed together
- They wanted both electricity and gas contracts reviewed and tendered
- They also wanted 100% renewable energy contracts
Our Solution
- We conducted a complete account set up for the university, and site survey to determine which procurement strategy would be best
- We procured both fixed and flexible contracts for the university with their green energy specifications in mind. We found that a flexible contract would be more financially beneficial
- We generated online reports so the university could financially plan and forecast their energy costs more effectively

Savings
Since Monarch trading took over the management of their procurement from 2019, we have made average savings of £254,778 on electricity and £35,554 on gas (per 12-month contract) following their switch to a flexible trading contract and negotiated reduced supply-margins – removing some embedded risk premiums.
Renewable
We satisfied their request to procure 100% renewable energy contracts, which we did so with Engie
