Customer Challenge
  • The client queried their Gas bills, and asked us to assist regarding duplicate billing for their main remaining meter
  • Two MPRS were associated in error; thus the incumbent supplier and previous supplier were charging for the same meter serial number

  • Collected copies of bills, contracts, and billing history from both suppliers
  • Investigated data and date references for old and new contract charges
  • Conducted thorough audit, overcharging and cost analysis
  • Contacted the network operators to assist with the supply history
  • Advised both suppliers metering departments to check and confirm the correct details
  • Discovered the School were being charged for both supplies in error as there were duplicates in 2012
  • Liaised with supplier customer complaint departments to agree a resolution on which Meter Point Reference was to remain
  • Negotiated historic refunds with the supplier, including meter read analysis
  • Escalated the refund as both parties were delaying the decision
  • Planned and implemented future cost reductions via our Intelligent Procurement service
  • Set up smart meter installation for accurate billing and energy saving
