Customer Challenge
- Their gas supplier contract was due for renewal at the end of March 2020
- We discovered a Making Space site that was not being billed by the supplier
Our Solution
- We began looking into prices in October 2019 but there were no savings to be made. Our trading analysts kept their eyes on the market and eventually refreshed Making Space’s gas prices in February when market conditions were more favourable
- We found out the supplier had accepted a Change of Tenancy request despite us advising them not to. We contacted the supplier to advise reapplication as this is an office space in the Making Space portfolio

Savings
Our trading team secured savings of £5,497 per annum for Making Space on their gas supply contract alone. We locked in the new reduced contract for three years on the request of Making Space
New agreement
Due to the significant savings made, Making Space wanted to take further advantage of our energy market trading expertise in the future. They signed a new Monarch agreement of five years, which we offered to them at a reduced rate given how much we value and strive to help our clients any way we can
